Xenochrophis flavipunctatus schnurrenbergeri Kramer, 1977: 750 , pl. 3, figs. 16–17.—Type locality. “ Nepal, 83°28' 27°30', 150 m ”, stated in Kramer (1977: 721) as being in “a perimeter within 10 km around an airfield at the Indian-Nepalese border”, redefined here as near Bhairahawa, Rupandehi District, Central Region, Nepal.— Onomatophore. Holotype: MHNG 1377.44. Collected by Hans Schnurrenberger.
Status. A valid species for populations of northern India and Nepal sharing the characters defined below.
Comments. This taxon was raised to full species status by Vogel & David (2007).
