This species is found in the southwestern USA and BC, Mexico and specializes on pollen from plants in the genus Mentzelia L. ( Fowler 2020). We reviewed four females cited by Snelling and Stage (1995) in the Gulf Coast region at Isla Angel de la Guarda in March 1966 (LACM). See fig. 192.
