– Already in 1989, Uhlich (in Uhlich & al. 1995: 42 fig. 29, 97) found Orobanche teucrii in Bulgaria (C Pirin, descent from Premkata pass to Banderiza refuge, here f. aurea Teyber ), about 45 km distant from the border with Greece. It was only a matter of time that the species would be detected for the first time also in Greece.
