– Widespread in the mountains of the Balkan Peninsula but not previously reported from North Macedonia (Marhold 2011+b). Several populations of this species that occur close to the borders of North Macedonia are known from Albania ( Barina 2017: 330) and Greece (Mts Varnous, Kajmakčalan, Vitek 1991: 239; Mt Tzena, Chasapis & al. 2020).
