Material examined. Faro: 13♂, 20♀, 36 immatures , Faro, 37°02'24.4"N 7°58'37.7"W, 21.iv.2021, Rhamnus lycioides subsp. oleoides (L. Neto) ( BDC, dry mounted and 70% ethanol) GoogleMaps .

Distribution Portugal. Mainland: Faro (this study; iNaturalist, Appendix 1).

Host plants Portugal. Rhamnaceae : Rhamnus lycioides subsp. oleoides (L.) Jahand. & Maire (this study).

Parasitoids. A specimen of Hymenoptera : Encyrtidae emerged from immatures kept in the laboratory.

Distribution Portugal. Mainland: Faro (this study).

Host plants Portugal. No information.

Comments. New for Portugal. This species has been reported only from France ( Lauterer & Burckhardt 1997), where adults were collected on Salix cinerea and S. caprea .
