Material examined: 2♀♀, 1♂ INDIA, Karnataka, Bangalore, Hebbal , 10.vii.2013, David, K.J .; 1♂ same data as previous except date 31.vii.2013; 1♀ 2.ii.2013; 1♀ 14.ii.2013; 1♀, 3.i.2013; 1♂ 27.vii.2013 ( NIM) .

Diagnosis: It is similar to A. tomentosa but can be separated by a mostly black scutellum without apical spots and fuscous mid and hind femora. Epandrium dark brown to black, lateral surstylus fulvous and broad, much longer than epandrium, proctiger twice as high as epandrium densely covered with fine hairs ( Figs. 23d, 24d View FIGURES 23−25 ). Phallus short (1.12 mm long) with developed glans, glans of phallus stout, triangular, basal lobe present, subapical lobe absent ( Fig. 25d View FIGURES 23−25 ). Oviscape short (1.06 mm long), dorsoventrally flattened, 12−14 finger-like projections ( Fig. 27d View FIGURES 26−28 ) on distal end of eversible membrane short (1.16 mm), 2 tightly coiled black spermathecae ( Fig. 28d View FIGURES 26−28 ), aculeus tip (1.12 mm long) with broadly pointed apex and four pairs of preapical setae ( Fig. 26d View FIGURES 26−28 ).

Comments: It was originally described from Java by Meijere (1914) and illustrated by Hardy (1973).
