Material examined: Holotype ♀, INDIA, Karnataka, Madikeri , 08.xi.2012, David, K.J. ( NIM).
Diagnosis: It is similar to A. striata , A. sachini and A. parastriata in the presence of a prominent black spot on the postpronotal lobe, the scutellum predominantly black with a narrow basal yellow band, and wing with a continuous costal band, and further resembles A. sachini in having the subapical and posterior apical bands separated from the costal band, but it can be differentiated by the shorter oviscape (0.85 mm long) and connected subapical and posterior apical wing bands.
Comments: This species was described and illustrated by David et al. (2014) based on a female specimen from Madikeri, Karnataka.
