Lectotype. BMNH, sex? [‘‘Syntype’’ (white disc with light blue border) / ‘‘Carrion’’ / ‘‘Woodlands, Singapore, Dr. Cameron’’ / ‘‘ M. Cameron Bequest. B.M. 1955–147’’ / ‘‘TYPE, Paratheta carnivora, Dr. Cameron’’ (rectangular label with red border) / ‘‘ Paratheta carnivora Cam., M. E. Bacchus det 1978, SYNTYPE’’ / ‘‘Lectotype’’ (white disc with purple border) / ‘‘LECTOTYPE, Paratheta carnivorna Cameron , desig. R. S. Hanley 2000’’] (here designated). Lectotype designation is justified under article 74.1.1 of the ICZN (1999) in order to fix the status of this specimen as the sole name­bearing type of this species.
