Material examined. One specimen. MB28-004729, ZDR, 18 Aug. 2013, 32m, 12mm.

Habitats. Subtropical rocky reef.

Occurrences. Zavora.

Geographic distribution. Western Indian Ocean. Mozambique .

Remarks. This species appears to be undescribed. The distinctive blue spots on this specimen are also present in Aegeris exeches Fahey & Gosliner, 2004 and A. punctilucens (D’Orbigny, 1837) . However, the tubercles in A. exeches are flat on top and denser. The Mozambican speciemen is darker than A. punctilucens and differs by the presence of bifid rhinophores ( Fahey & Gosliner 2004).
