Description:

Male ( Figs. 25 View Figs ; Pl. II, Figs. IX and X). Body length: 7.88, width: 2.51.

Body ( Fig. 25 View Figs ; Pl. V, Fig. IX) black, surface shining. Setae pale brown, dense, curved.

Head ( Fig. 25 View Figs ) black, Punctation simple. Frons broader than long, slightly concave. Frontal carina faintly impressed. Eye pale brown, round. Labrum dark brown, raised, broader than long, anterior margin convex. Mandible dentate, apically black and round. Antennae brown, extending to the middle of the pronotum. First segment robust, longest. Second and third subequal. Fourth onward serrate and subequal in length. The last segment constricted near the apex.

Pronotum ( Fig. 25 View Figs ) black, disc convex, wider than long, punctation ( Fig. 26 View Figs ) simple, Submarginal line present. Anterior margin straight, with round anterior angle. Lateral margin crenulate, convex, sinuate before hind angle. Carina reaches ¾ th of the pronotum. Hind angle truncated. Scutellum (Fig. 79) black, pentagonal, basally emarginated, concave.

Elytra ( Fig. 25 View Figs ) 2.09x longer than pronotum, black, striae punctate. Interstriae slightly convex, punctation ( Fig. 27 View Figs ) simple, basally emarginate, round. Apically round, and weak dentate.

Prosternum black, strongly convex, with a distinct chin piece, punctation simple. Pronotosternal suture straight, broadly open to middle of prosternum. Hypomeron without any depression for accommodating anterior tarsi. Prosternal spine long, emarginated, apically round.

Mesepisternum and mesepimeron do not form part of the margin of the mesocoxal cavity. Metasternum without any groove for receiving mesotarsi.

Abdomen black, punctation simple, setae evenly distributed.

Leg ( Fig. 28 View Figs ) brown, tarsal claw ( Fig. 29 View Figs ) simple, setae present at base.

Basal piece wide, arms rounded at apex, both anterior and posterior margin concave, lateral margin weakly arcuate, uniformly sclerotised throughout; median lobe longer than parameres, uniformly sclerotised throughout,

apex more so, arms of median lobe long, feebly arcuate, pointed at base, not exceeding ventral posterior margin of parameres, median lobe medially concave, proximal to distal gradually broadened, apex sharply narrow, acute, furcae not reaching the anterior margin of parameres; parameres uniformly sclerotised throughout, outer lateral margin broadened basally, medially strongly concave, proximal to distal straight, distal teeth small, pointed, apex rounded, more than five hairs on parameres.
