Male ( Fig. 13 View Figs ; Pl. I, Figs. V, VI). Body length: 9.13, width:
2.43.
Body ( Fig. 13 View Figs ; Pl. I, Fig. V) red brown, surface shining. Setae pale brown, curved, few erect, evenly distributed.
Head ( Fig. 13 View Figs ) red brown, marginally blackish. Setae pale brown. Punctation simple. Frons broader than long. Frontal carina faintly impressed. Vertex weakly concave. Eye dark brown, round, with distinct facets. Labrum brown, black, flat, broader than long, anterior margin convex. Mandible medially red brown, margin black, dentate, apically round, blunt. Antennae brown, extending beyond the middle of the pronotum. First segment robust. Third smallest. Fourth onward serrate and subequal. The last segment constricted near the apex.
Pronotum ( Fig. 13 View Figs ) red brown, with anterior margin blackish, as long as wide, disc convex, medially with a longitudinal shallow groove near slope, punctation ( Fig. 14 View Figs ) simple. Submarginal line present. Anterior margin straight, with round anterior angle. Lateral margin crenulate, more or less straight, sinuate before hind angle. Hind angle truncated.
Scutellum ( Fig. 13 View Figs ) brown, pentagonal, flat, setae dense, basally emarginate, convex.
Elytra ( Fig. 13 View Figs ) 2.33x longer than pronotum, red brown, striae punctate, interstriae flat, punctation ( Fig. 15 View Figs ) simple, basally emarginate, apically round, weakly spinose along suture.
Prosternum red brown, longer than wide, convex, with distinct brown chin piece, punctation simple. Pronotosternal suture concave, broadly open up to the middle of the prosternum. Hypomeron strongly grooved for accommodating protarsi. Prosternal spine long, emarginated, apically round.
Mesepisternum and mesepimeron do not form part of the margin of the mesocoxal cavity. Metasternum with groove for receiving mesotarsi.
Metacoxal plate round at middle.
Abdomen red brown, punctation simple, setae evenly distributed.
Leg ( Fig. 16 View Figs ) brown, tarsal claw ( Fig. 17 View Figs ) simple, setae present at base.
Genitalia ( Fig. 18 View Figs ; Pl. I, Fig. VI):
Basal piece wide, arms rounded at apex, anterior margin broadly ‘U’ shape, posterior margin curved, corners of posterior and lateral margin projected, lateral margin straight, uniformly sclerotized; median lobe longer than parameres, uniformly sclerotised, arms of median lobe long, curved, pointed at base, not exceeding ventral posterior marginof parameres, median lobe gradually narrowing from base to apex, apex rounded, furcae not reaching the anterior margin of parameres; inner lateral margin of parameres strongly sclerotised, outer lateral margin sinuate, beyond broadend, distally deeply concave, forming posteriorly directed distal teeth, apex rounded, more than seven hairs on apex.
