The third segment of the antenna is shorter than the fourth. Mandible simple or dentate. Prothorax not constricted behind the anterior angle, lateral margin crenulate or entire, hind angle carinate or acarinate, at times carina crenulate. Prosternopleural groove extending up to the middle or beyond the middle of prosternopleural sutures. Hypomeron with or without grooves or depressions. Mesepisternum and mesepimeron do not form part of the margin of the mesocoxal cavity. Metasternum rounded or truncated between the mesocoxae, with or without grooves or depressions. Scutellum variable. Tibial spur absent. Tarsi simple, claw simple, with setae at base.
