GENUS CERAEOCHRYSA Adams, 1982 View in CoL

Ceraeochrysa Adams, 1982: 70 . Type species: Chrysopa cincta Schneider, 1851 ; original designation.

Ceraeochrysa is a New World genus ( Adams 1982), containing 40 described species and several undescribed species distributed throughout North and South America and the West Indies, but predominantly in South America ( Brooks and Barnard 1990). The adults feed on honeydew or nectar; the larvae are debris-carriers ( Adams 1982). One species occurs in Canada, as follows:
