Nothochrysa MacLachlan, 1868: 195 , 207–208. Type species: Chrysopa fulviceps Stephens, 1836 ; subsequent designation ( Banks 1903: 142).
Nothochrysa is represented by three species worldwide: two Palaearctic, and one Nearctic, in western Canada and the USA ( Brooks and Barnard 1990). The species in Canada is, as follows:
