Type locality.— Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia) , Perak, Gunung Igari ( Mount Igari ; 610 m) .
Malaysian distribution.—Recorded from Peninsular Malaysia (all states).
Remarks.— Macroglosus sobrinus can be distinguished from their smaller counterpart M. minimus by larger forearm length, body size, and presence of median groove in the upper lip (see M. minimus species account for details).
