TYPE LOCALITY. — Suriname, [Sipaliwini], Aroewarwa Creek, Maroewym Valley.

TYPE SPECIMEN. — Described on 1 male and 5 females. We chose the male syntype with a white printed label “Aroewarwa Creek, Maroewym valley, Suriname, April 05 (S.M. Klages)” / a white printed label “Rothschild Bequest B.M. 1939-1.” / a pink handwritten label “ Neritos lavendulae Type Rothsch[ild]” / a round red printed label “Type”, and designated it as lectotype. We have labeled it with a round blue label “ Lectotype ” and a white printed label “ Lectotype Trichromia lavendulae ♂ by Vincent & Laguerre” (BMNH).
