Southern Short-tailed Shrew
Blarina carolinensis (identified as B. brevicauda by Lowery 1974) are found in most parts of the state except in the extreme southern parishes of coastal Louisiana. Since Lowery (1974), specimen records have been reported for West Baton Rouge Parish. Additionally, one nonvouchered record was reported from La Salle Parish.
