Eptesicus fuscus Palisot View in CoL de Beauvois, 1796
Big Brown Bat
Lowery (1974) reported E. fuscus occurring sparingly throughout central and northern Louisiana. Since that time, several surveys and reports have greatly expanded the distribution of E. fuscus in the state with records from Allen, Bienville, Caddo, De Soto, Grant, LaSalle, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Rapides, Union, Vernon, West Feliciana, Union, and Winn parishes ( Crnkovic 2003; Ferrara and Leberg 2005; Stevens et al. 2017; Hoffman and Chauhan 2020). Nonvouchered records, each representing a new parish record, were reported from Bossier, Jackson, Jefferson, and Washington parishes.
Nonvouchered records (4).—Bossier Parish (1): 34-9942-1149. Jackson Parish (1): NTSRV 34-9943- 1166. Jefferson Parish (1): NTSRV 34-3380-1168. Washington Parish (1): 1 (LDWF-WDP 68).
