Northern Yellow Bat

There has been much recent discussion regarding the taxonomy of L. intermedius , with some mammalogists assigning it to the genus Dasypterus ( Baird et al. 2015) . However, until the issue is resolved, the genus Lasiurus is retained here. Lasiurus intermedius has been found in central and southern Louisiana, with no records occurring in the northern portions of the state. Since Lowery (1974), specimen records were reported from Franklin and Livingston parishes.
