Coyote

Canis latrans previously was noted primarily from central and northern Louisiana, but currently is found statewide. Since Lowery (1974), specimen records were reported from Avoyelles, Cameron, Concordia, East Feliciana, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lincoln, and Point Coupee parishes. Additionally, nonvouchered records were reported from Acadia, Avoyelles, Calcasieu, Franklin, Grant, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Rapides, and West Feliciana parishes.
