Baiomys taylori O. Thomas, 1887 View in CoL
Northern Pygmy Mouse
Baiomys taylori is a new addition to the mammalian fauna of Louisiana. The first and only specimen was collected by Stevens (2015) in Caddo Parish. Since then, no other specimens have been collected in the state. However, it is likely other populations exist in Louisiana given that B. taylori is currently undergoing range expansion in several nearby states ( Barnes and Hoffman 2023).
