Additional material examined
New Zealand, the North Island, Auckland East coast, Upper Waitemata Harbour , Whau River , Te Atatu Boating Club Inc., on Ectopleura larynx (Ellis and Solander) growing on an immersed section of a rope ( 13 mm in diameter) dangling from the gangway between the wharf and pontoon, 38 specimens (lengths 5–21 mm) and spawn on 28 November 2000 (collected by Dr P. F. Jenkins) .
