Etymology:— Referring to the location, Doupeng Mountain, where the type specimen was collected.
Type:— CHINA. Guizhou: Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Duyun City, Doupeng Mountain ( 26°20′08″N, 107°17′34″E), on a pupa ( Lepidoptera ), 30 July 2022, Qian Zeng, GZAC DY1052 ( holotype), ex-type living cultures, DY10521.
Colonies on PDA attaining a diameter of 25–27 mm after 14 days at 25 °C, white, consisting of a basal felt, floccose hyphal overgrowth; reverse yellowish. Hyphae septate, hyaline, smooth-walled, 1.7–2.1 μm wide. Conidiophores hyaline, smooth-walled, with single phialide or whorls of 2–5 phialides or verticillium-like directly from hyphae. Phialides cylindrical, somewhat inflated base, 5.0–10.6 × 1.7–1.9 μm, tapering to a thin neck. Conidia hyaline, smooth-walled, ellipsoidal, 1.4–2.9 × 0.9–1.1 μm, forming divergent and basipetal chains. Sexual state not observed.
