Haplophilus subterraneus (Shaw) . This adventive species is native to Europe and was first recorded from St. John’ s, Newfoundland in 1949, based on two females ( Palmén 1954). It has not been found since in North America, although specimens associated with plants from England were intercepted in New York state, United States of America ( Crabill 1952).
