89. Crocidosema plebejana Zeller, 1847 ( Fig. 43 ).

This nearly cosmopolitan species occurs throughout Central America. SCP collected it as a larva on Croton (Julocroton) argenteus ( Euphorbiaceae ), which is a somewhat unusual host because the majority of the hosts of this species are Malvaceae ( CABI 2020) .
