The genitalia (slide JWB-21-045) of a single female collected at Comayagua match those illustrated by Brown (2009) for M. submicans , a Caribbean species. Specimens similar to M. submicans have also been reported from southern Texas and Venezuela ( Brown 2009), but morphological variation suggests that these specimens are part of a species complex.
Specimen examined: Honduras: Dept. Comayagua, Comayagua, Comayagua, Recursos Station, 28 Jun 1979 (1♀), S. Passoa, genitalia slide JWB-21-045 ( SCPC) .
