Habit. – Liafa& sometimes referred to as a shrub.

Distribution. – Efdemic to Madagascar.

Notes. – Although the fame Sphaerocoryne macrocarpa was published several pages before the fame S. maritima (316 vs. 348; BAILLON 1868)& CAVACO & KERAUDREN (1958: 85) chose the latter as the fame of this species. OEe thus retaif this fame here. CAVACO & KERAUDREN (1958: 85) suggested that the fame Sphaerocoryne macrocarpa is syfofym of S. maritima . This has to be coffirmed& especially because there are fo fruits of the type of S. maritima & afd the paratype (Boiυin s.n. [P00046739& P00046740]) has flower fragmefts ofly.
