Fuscoscala lubovi ( Ossipov, 1932)

* Scalaria lubovi n. sp. — Ossipov 1932: 65, pl. 4, figs 28–29.

Scala lubovi ( Ossipov, 1932) — Zelinskaya et al. 1968: 173.

Discussion. Ossipov (1932) illustrated two small, slender specimens (SL: 9.2 mm) with strongly convex whorls, deeply impressed suture and about 13/14 prominent, low lamellae obliquely axially aligned, with smooth and glossy interspaces. These features might justify a placement in Fuscoscala Sacco, 1890 [type species Scalaria tenuicostata Michaud, 1829 ; present-day, Mediterranean Sea].

Distribution in Eastern Paratethys. Konkian (Middle Miocene): Kerch Peninsula ( Ukraine / Russia).
