In the list of the type material of Germalus ashlocki new species

(page 362) the depository of the holotype was omitted by error. As a consequence, the name of the species is unavailable ( International Code of Zoological Nomenclature , Fourth edition, Art. 16.4.2). It is hereby stated that the holotype is a male deposited in the Snow Entomological Museum , University of Kansas (SEMC). The purpose of this note is to validate the name of the new species from the publication date of this erratum by a reference to the original description as indication.
