Description.
Length: 10.5–12.8 mm. Head black, glossy, frons with fine, more-or-less diffuse punctation, vertex with slightly larger punctation and wrinkles; labrum and anterior part of clypeus yellow, smooth, glossy, posterior part of clypeus black, smooth, with punctation, palpi brown, tips yellowish to whitish. Antennae black, reaching beyond middle of pronotum, antennomeres dilated from A5 onwards, from A6 onwards as long as wide, tips slightly lighter, A11 longer than A10, narrow, inner side subparallel, outer ide very slightly curved, slightly constricted at tip. EyW: 0.53–0.62 mm; EyD: 0.94–1.16 mm; EyD/EyW: 1.85. Pronotum dark red-brown, glossy, apex narrowly black, base broader bordered black, broadest in or before middle, slightly sinuate, constricted towards apex and very slightly more constricted towards base; in front of the indication of the transverse depression with diffuse punctations, behind the transverse depression with dense and coarse wrinkles, the basal black part almost smooth. PL: 2.64–3.72 mm; PW: 1.84–2.6 mm; PL/PW: 1.43.
Elytra with basal part black, then a long red-brown part, bordered by an oblique more-or-less broad transverse fascia, reaching from the suture to the side margin, long apical part black, subparallel, only very slightly dilated towards apex; elytral base margined in the middle; punctation in 10 regular rows, row 1 reaching towards the beginning of the yellow transverse fascia, row 2 reaching the end of the yellow fascia, from row 3 to 6 with increasing length beyond the yellow fascia, rows 8–9 till the beginning of the yellow fascia, row 10 ends before the yellow fascia; punctation large, deep, in the middle slightly longitudinal, diameter of punctation larger than interstices, becoming conspicuously smaller in and beyond the yellow fascia, apex with very fine and diffuse punctation, no microsculpture, only small isolated punctures; elytral punctation with a basal seta.
EL: 6.92–8.67 mm; EW: 3.0–4.0 mm; EL/EW: 2.10.
Legs stout, black, if red-brown, only tarsal soles yellowish.
Lower surface black to dark red-brown or predominantly black, prosternum in front and mesoventrite in the middle dark red-brown, first abdominal ventrite with a relatively large, yellow macula on sides. Gula dark red-brown, U-shaped, smooth, distal margins strongly bulging, gular pads large, not adjoined. Prosternal length smaller than procoxal diameter. AMP rectangular to trapezoid, front margin bulging, slightly dipped in front. Mesoventrite with large, irregular punctation. Metaventrite almost smooth.
Genitalia. See Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 .
