TYPE LOCALITY: Guatemala, Huehuetenango Dept., Todos Santos, 10,000 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: Isolated pockets in highlands of N Michoacan and Distrito Federal, N Oaxaca, and C Chiapas, Mexico, and WC Guatemala.

SYNONYMS: albilabris, wagneri.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Aporodon , tenuirostris species group.
