Saldula sibiricola Cobben, 1985: 226 View in CoL ; Lindskog, 1995: 133; Vinokurov et al., 2012: 60; Vinokurov et al., 2018: 136.
Chinese common name. Ʊ伯利亚ãø.
Material examined. Holotype: male. RUSSIA: Zabaykalsky Krai: Sretensky District, Urulga Railway Station, Kokuy, 9 June 1918, A. Keller leg. (ZIR).
Diagnosis. Body relatively ovate, brachypterous individuals predominant, dorsum with dense, long, black setae. Head short and wide, antennomere II yellowish, with dense, long hairs; mandibular plates, transverse swelling, maxillary plates and anteclypeus mainly yellowish; preocellar spots elongated, cuneiform, attached to inner margin of compound eyes. Pronotum short and wide, lateral margin shallowly concave; hemelytra mainly pale, with vague brown markings; legs mainly yellowish.
Comparative notes. See comparative notes under S. nobilis .
Remarks. In the original description of this species, Cobben (1985) also offered detailed comparative notes and illustrations. Additionally, a photograph of the dorsal habitus was presented by Vinokurov et al. (2018). This species is not included within Saldula (s.str.) as defined by Lindskog & Polhemus (1992) for lack of the synapomorphic characters of Saldula (s.str.) (i.e., eye spot on median cell of endocorium and laminar projection on the male median endosomal sclerite), as clarified by Lindskog (1995).
Distribution in China. Xinjiang ( Vinokurov et al. 2012, Vinokurov et al. 2018).
General distribution. South Siberian-Central Asia species. Distributed in Kazakhstan, southern Siberia of Russia, western Mongolia and northwestern China ( Cobben 1985, Lindskog 1995, Vinokurov 2004b, Vinokurov et al. 2012, Vinokurov et al. 2018).
