Heteropolygonatum binatifolium (S.R. Yi et H.X. Zhu) G.W. Hu, Yu L. Zhou et Q.F. Wang , comb. nov. ( Fig. 1 )

Basionym: — Polygonatum binatifolium S.R. Yi et H.X. Zhu (2022: 248) . Type:— CHINA. Guizhou: Yinjiang County, Mt. Fanjing , on the mossy rocks or tree trunks under forests, elev. 2014 m, 27°54′43″N, 108°39′37″E, 22 May 2020, S.R. Yi 8547 (holotype, KUN, no seen; isotype, KUN, no seen).

Vernacular name: —The Chinese name is “ạfl叶异afi” (Jī-Duì-Yè-Yì-Huáng-Jīng).

Distribution and habita t:— Heteropolygonatum binatifolium is known from Mt. Fanjing, Yinjiang, and Woyangqing in Panzhou, Guizhou Province, China. It grows at elevation of 1900–2300 m, occurring at the bases of trunks or on mossy rocks.

Fanjing , under the forests, elev. 2094 m, 27°55′3.607″N, 108°40′45.817″E, 7 May 2024, ZYL-32 ( HIB0257281 ) ; Guizhou: Yinjiang County, Mt. Fanjing , on the rocks, elev. 2252 m, 27°55′7.804″N, 108°41′18.246″E, 7 May 2024, ZYL-34 ( HIB0257282 ) .

Notes: —This species is close to Heteropolygonatum parcefolium , but differs in having glabrous peduncles and larger, yellow-green perianth. Compared with other species within Heteropolygonatum , it is characterized by a distinct arrangement of leaves that are opposite at the base and alternate in the upper parts.
