Type species. Prosoponoides hamatum Millidge & Russell-Smith, 1992 ; gender neuter.

Remark. Prosoponoides comprises 19 species (including nine species known from females and two from males) distributed in China, India, Indonesia (Borneo, Java), Malaysia (peninsula) and Thailand (WSC 2024).
