Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the type locality; adjective.
Diagnosis. The female of Gongylidium dawolongense sp. n. can be distinguished from all other congeners by the copulatory duct S-shaped and spermathecae globular ( Figs 94A–C View FIGURE 94 ).
Description. Female ( Figs 95A, B View FIGURE 95 ): Total length:1.21. Carapace 0.35 long, 0.42 wide, yellow, cephalic region slightly elevated, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.09 high. Chelicerae with five promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Sternum longer than wide, yellow with microsetae. Eyes: AER recurved, PER procurved, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.02, ALE 0.04, PME 0.03, PLE 0.04, AME–AME 0.01, PME–PME 0.04, AME–ALE, 0.02, PME–PLE 0.03, AME–PME 0.05, ALE–ALE 0.18, PLE–PLE 0.21, ALE– PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 1.27 (0.39, 0.48, 0.21, 0.19), II 1.01 (0.34, 0.31, 0.19, 0.17) III 0.99 (0.31, 0.34, 0.18, 0.16), IV 1.23 (0.43, 0.46, 0.19, 0.15). TmI 0.18 and TmIV 0.16. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-1-1. Opisthosoma 0.86 long, 0.64 wide, oval, yellow.
Epigyne ( Figs 94A–C View FIGURE 94 ): Ventral plate (VP) wider than long; dorsal plate (DP) rectangular, wider than long; copulatory opening (CO) present mid ventrally at the junction of dorsal and ventral plate; copulatory ducts (CD) form long loop before entering the spermathecae; spermathecae (S) globular, present dorsolaterally, spaced by three diameters; fertilization ducts (FD) short, extending mesally.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality (Hubei Province, Fig. 312 View FIGURE 312 ).
