Type species. Linyphia dorsalis Wider, 1834 ; gender feminine.

Remark. Kaestneria comprises seven species (including three species known from males and one from females) distributed in China, Europe, Indonesia (Sumatra, Belitung Is.) Japan, Mongolia, North America and Russia (Europe to South Siberia and Far East) (WSC 2024).
