Type species. Erigone sila O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1873 ; gender masculine.

Remark. Mecopisthes comprises 17 species (including one species known from females and one from males) distributed in Caucasus ( Russia), China, Europe, Israel, Japan, Turkmenistan and Turkey (WSC 2024).
