Types. Holotype ♂ ( HNU–HN– IV–1715 ), CHINA, Hunan Prov.: Xiangxi, Baojing Co., Maogou Town , Baiping Vill ., Baiyun MNNR , 28.61789°N, 109.40585°E, 298 m, G.C. Zhou et al. leg. GoogleMaps Paratypes: 1♀, with same data as for holotype ( HNU–HN– IV–1715 ). GoogleMaps

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the type locality; adjective.

Diagnosis. Oia baiyunensis sp. n. resembles O. imadatei in having similar thick, robust spine in male palp and ventral plate in epigyne in female ( Figs 169A– D View FIGURE 169 , 170A–D View FIGURE 170 ; Lv et al. 2015, figs 2A–E), but can be distinguished by the dorsal tibial apophysis short with broad distal end in O. baiyunensis sp. n. ( Figs 169A–C View FIGURE 169 ; vs. two times longer than tibial apophysis of O. baiyunensis sp. n.); distal end of embolus relatively thick in O. baiyunensis sp. n. ( Figs 169A, D View FIGURE 169 ; vs. filiform); copulatory openings present mid ventrally lower to anterior margin of epigynal plate in O. baiyunensis sp. n. ( Figs 170A–D View FIGURE 170 ; vs. present mid ventrally at the anterior margin of epigynal plate); spermathecae kidney-shaped in O. baiyunensis sp. n. ( Figs 170A–D View FIGURE 170 ; vs. round).

Description. Male (holotype, Figs 171A, B View FIGURE 171 ): Total length: 1.38. Carapace 0.61 long, 0.45 wide, yellow, cephalic region elevated, ocular quad triangular, mid dorsally with three setae, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.16 high. Chelicerae with five promarginal and five retromarginal teeth. Sternum longer than wider, yellowish grey with microsetae. Eyes: AER recurved, PER slightly recurved, wider than AER.
