Type species. Acanoides beijingensis Sun, Marusik & Tu, 2014 from Beijing; gender masculine.

Remark. Based on a phylogenetic analysis, Sun et al. (2014) erected the genus Acanoides for two species: A. beijingensis and A. hengshanensis ( Chen & Yin, 2000) from China (WSC 2024).
