Type species. Bolyphantes alpestris C.L. Koch, 1837 (= B. luteolus [ Blackwall, 1833]); gender masculine.

Remark. Bolyphantes comprises 19 species (including five species known from females) distributed across the Palaearctic (WSC 2024).
