Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from type locality; adjective.

Diagnosis. Diplocephalus tongrenensis sp. n. resembles D. hispidulus in having the epigyne ventral plate with a slit at the middle and copulatory opening present anteriorly ( Figs 58A–C View FIGURE 58 ; Saito & Ono 2001, figs 90, 91), but can be distinguished by the spermathecae present anteriorly in D. tongrenensis sp. n. ( Figs 58A–C View FIGURE 58 ; vs. present posteriorly).

Description. Female (holotype, Figs 59A, B View FIGURE 59 ): Total length: 2.45. Carapace 0.99 long, 0.81 wide, cephalic region slightly elevated, orange, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.29 high. Chelicerae with four promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Sternum as long as wide, orange, with microsetae. Eyes: AER recurved, PER procurved. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.04, ALE 0.08, PME 0.07, PLE 0.6, AME–AME 0.04, PME–PME 0.05, AME–ALE, 0.03, PME–PLE 0.05, AME–PME 0.06, ALE–ALE 0.31, PLE–PLE 0.34, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 3.69 (1.03, 1.23, 0.88, 0.55), II 3.54 (1.01, 1.16, 0.83, 0.54), III 2.83 (0.87, 0.89, 0.66, 0.41), IV 3.61 (1.07, 1.16, 0.87, 0.51). Tibial spine formula: 2-2-1-1. TmI 0.24 and TmIV absent. Opisthosoma 1.71 long, 1.27 wide, oval, pale, dorsally with two pairs of sigillae, ventally with one pair of yellow spots near spinnerets posteriorly.

Epigyne ( Figs 58A–C View FIGURE 58 ): Epigynal plate one and half times wider than long, fissure wide, ventral plate (VP) wider than long, inner margin arc-shaped; dorsal plate (DP) partially covered by the ventral plate, spindle-shaped in ventral view and somewhat rectangular posteriorly. Copulatory ducts (CD) enclosed in a slightly sclerotized capsule; copulatory openings (CO) present at the anterior end of the ventral plate. Spermathecae (S) round, most of it covered by copulatory ducts, pointing dorso-laterally. Fertilization ducts (FD) extending mesally.

Male. Unknown.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality (Guizhou Province, Fig. 310 View FIGURE 310 ).

Comment: The epigynal fissure of D. tongrenensis sp. n. is wide and quite different from those in all other congeners. The species is provisionally placed in the genus Diplocephalus .
