Like H. sagor , the curvature of most of the otoliths’ margin making them appear circular. Although, the outermost part of their mesial margin is quite irregular, especially along the postero-mesial margin. Some of them (n= 8) have prominent Md, which causes a sharp slant that makes them appear “swollen” at the postero-mesial margin. They have prominent Amp and the majority of them (n= 19) bear tubular straight Sl, while the remaining ones (n= 5) have compact straight Sl. They have prominent mesial notch and their ILb is shallow.
