Acrocera laeta Gerstäcker, 1856: 352 View in CoL . ♂ holotype. Type deposition: MNHU. Type locality: Italy, Sardinia. Remarks. Acrocera laeta View in CoL was described from the male holotype collected on Sardinia ( Italy) and has also been recorded from the former USSR (SET, TC (Ge), KZ) ( Nartshuk 1988). The species is characterised by entirely orange-yellow tergites (except medially on tergite 1), and might represent a very pale form of A. orbiculus .
