Distribution: Europe, Middle East to Iran, Russia (Europe to West Siberia), Central Asia, China, Japan. Introduced to St. Helena , South Africa, Lesotho ( World Spider Catalog 2024); Algeria.
Comment: in the World Spider Catalog (2024), Algeria is not yet included as part of the distribution area of the species.
