Record as epibiont on cnidarians: Arnold & Boulenger (1915) recorded an unidentified representative of Trichodina on jellyfish Limnocnida tanganyicae (Gunther, 1893) and L. rhodesiae Boulenger, 1912 , while Fantham & Porter (1933) noted the occurrence of any trichodinids on L. rhodesiae from the Limpopo River System ( Van As & Basson 1986). Trichodina sp. was found on the external surfaceof scyphoid medusa Acromitus rabanchatu Annandale, 1915 from marine and brackish waters from the coast of Tenasserim and also from Odisha ( Orissa), India ( Annandale 1915).
