Type specimens. No type material was found in any of the collections examined or consulted.
Remarks. Köhler noted that his earlier proposal of the new species ( Köhler (1952) 1951) was invalid. Consequently, he provided a revised description in 1953, including description of characters and formal type designations. In this later work, Köhler (1953) indicated that the holotype was the specimen labeled as “type” in the MACN and clarified that the “homocotypes” he designated in (1952) 1951 correspond to the paratypes of this species. At the MACN, there are four male specimens, along with one additional male specimen at the MLP, all bearing labels written in Berg’s handwriting, which read “[male symbol], La Rioja, RA”. These specimens also carry Köhler’s characteristic typewritten label “ Homotipo ” and are numbered 41949–41952 at the MACN. These correspond to some of the paratypes designated by Köhler (1953). However, despite our efforts, we were unable to locate the holotype (“type”) specimen in the MACN collection.
