Current status. Lasionycta “of authors ” hofmanni [ Poole 1989, following synonymization of Lasiestra Hampson with Lasionycta Aurivillius by Hacker et al., 2002]

Type status (description). Holotype, allotype, and paratypes in Köhler’s collection.

Type locality and collectors. [ Argentina]— Santa Cruz (Carlos Hofmann) .

Type specimens. ZSM: Holotype ♂. Argentina, Prov. Santa Cruz , Rio Grande. Old label: Rio Grande, Sta Cruz.
