Current status. Copitarsia maxima [ Angulo & Olivares 2003]

Type status (description). Holotype, allotype, and paratypes in Köhler’s collection, additional paratypes in Gentili’s collection.

Type locality and collectors. [ Argentina] — Neuquén: San Martín de los Andes , 18.xii.1958, 25.xi.1959 (Gentili) . San Luis: Capital. Slide #1007.

Type specimens. ZSM: Holotype ♀. Argentina, Prov. Neuquén, San Martín de los Andes , 25.xi.1957. Old label: S.M. Andes, 25-XI57.

Figures. Köhler, 1961: pl. 2, fig. 16 male genitalia (slide #1007); pl. 4, fig. 25 adult.

Remarks. Holotype specimen very similar to figure 25 ( Köhler 1961: pl. 4), we cannot be sure due to the low resolution of the image of the description. Slide #1007 corresponds to a non-type male specimen in the IFML.
