Current status. Hyssia “of authors ” polioides [ Poole 1989]

Type status (description). Cotypes in Köhler’s collection and Instituto Miguel Lillo .

Type locality and collectors. [ Argentina]— Catamarca: Belén , i.1937 (Schreiter); Barranca Larga, Belén (Schreiter) .

Type specimens. IFML: Syntype ♀. Cat., Dpto. Belén, Las Marisas, iii.938. ZSM: Syntype ♂. Argentina, Prov. Catamarca, Dep Belén, Barranca Larga , ii.1937, Schreiter leg. Old label: Barranca Larga, Dº Belén, ii.937 .

Remarks. Although none of the syntypes precisely match the locality information (IFML specimen) or the date (ZSM specimen) provided by Köhler in the species description, we believe that the cited specimens are likely the syntypes designated by the author. This assumption is based on the occasional typographical or transcription errors observed in specimen labels during Köhler’s species descriptions, which may have arisen from the complexities of handling extensive collections and data.
