Stems eglandular. Calyx 5-6 mm in flower, 10-12 mm in fruit, shortly pedicellate. Corolla-tube nearly twice as long as calyx. Nutlets tuberculate. Mainly above 1500 m.
Many intermediates are known, some of which may deserve subspecific rank.
